There's plenty of Google influence in this software.
Despite it not being a big phone, Asus has added a one-handed mode to the Zenfone 8, which minimizes the display to the lower part of the screen — the exact amount it covers can be adjusted in the settings — to make it easier to use with one hand.
I've dropped the phone three or four times now, and there are hardly any scuffs or visible signs of damage.
Turning this off improves things significantly.
The sapphire blue power button on the right side of the frame is a nice touch, aesthetically pleasing and convenient.
It's not exactly an unattractive phone.
