From 22 April 2022 onwards, the quarantine requirement for close contacts is no longer based on vaccination status vaccinated or unvaccinated or age.

The Malaysia Ministry of Health has now issued a circular, introducing a new protocol for healthcare workers.

Individuals must show proof of their fully vaccinated status, such as cards or digital certificates, in order to participate in activities with vaccination requirements.
Individuals who are fully vaccinated but yet to receive the booster shot must quarantine for seven days.
Arwady has said that that process is not likely happening for every test, however.
