The Malaysian Examinations Council is managed by a board of governors comprising vice-chancellors of local universities established under Section 6 of the University and University Colleges Act 1971 and under Section 1A of the University of Technology MARA Act 1976, the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Education, the Director General of Education, the Director of Examinations of the Malaysian Examinations Syndicate, the Chief Executive of the Malaysian Examinations Council, and five other members appointed by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
