In essence Pitch Perfect 2 is a fun, Glee Inspired, Musical with a few too many crude jokes, and clichés, but remains an entertaining sequel, that will please fans of the original.
In Pitch Perfect 3, John and Gail are at the helm of a documentary about the Bellas, following them around.

Arranger Deke Sharon worked on both The Sing-Off and the first Pitch Perfect film, and was largely the reason why Pentatonix was pitched to producers to cameo in the sequel.
