James Masing's death a great loss to Sarawak
I sorely lost a friend.
He was the father of all Sarawakians, for his greater family extended beyond his political ideals in always promoting the best interests of the people he served for so very many years.
He married again for the second time in 1992 to Corrine Masing née Bua Nyipa, also known as Connie with whom he had three more children; Karen Julan Masing, Ashley Layo Masing and Emma Maria Masing.
Sarawak DCM James Masing dies
The last time he defended the seat was during the 11th Sarawak state election in 2016.
Therefore, he said it would be unfair for people to accuse them of being racist on issues affecting the rural population especially the Dayaks.
