Unfortunately, due to travel restrictions prohibiting Vietnamese citizens from re-entering their country, the Vietnamese teams are unable to participate, as in 2020, regardless of location.
In line with last year's iteration, 22 teams qualified to participate at the World Championship based on placement within their own regional leagues and previous regional results in international play.
